The Waves of Recovery website was designed to capture the spirit of the ocean as both a place of healing and a catalyst for community. A bright coastal palette of ocean blues, sun-washed neutrals, and warm sandy tones creates an atmosphere that feels open, hopeful, and restorative. The visual language draws heavily from the rhythm of the sea, with expansive imagery of water, surf, and shoreline landscapes that communicate freedom, movement, and renewal.
Typography and layout were kept clean and approachable to ensure accessibility while maintaining a sense of energy and optimism. Strong imagery, simple compositions, and clear messaging guide visitors through the organization’s mission, programs, and opportunities to participate or support. The overall experience reflects the heart of the program — uplifting, community-driven, and grounded in the belief that the ocean can play a powerful role in emotional healing and recovery.
